• Seems easy at first but is buggy & service is terrible

  Because the support is in China, you must be prepared for email round turns lasting 24-48 hours or more. Support couldn't solve my problem. They wouldn't return my money.

  Summary

  This is obviously a quickly slapped together program. You get what you pay for. Take the plunge, spend a little more on the Camtasia Suite by Adobe. You won't regret it--I haven't.

  Pros

  I use it to make demonstrations of how to do things on the computer. It creates amazing how to videos.

  Cons

  Emailing the product has to be in a Zip file. I would rather have the option of instead sending it in a .swf file as well. Some people can easily play a .swf file but have trouble handling Zip files.

  Summary

  I'm no computer expert but I get lots of emailed requests from family and friends along the "How do I ... ?" lines. My answers always took a lot of typing, often supplemented with screen shots, even for the simple questions. After all that effort the recipients often had to ask for clarification. Now I use DemoCreator. I click the programme on to record, then do exactly what I I trying to show how to be done. It creates a .swf file which shows every movement, every screen, even with little labels showing "click here", and so on. All the while my voice is being recorded in the background. It usually takes less than a minute to create a simple demonstration which the programme then lets me send in a Zip file in an email. The whole process from start to finish takes no more than about three minutes. Can you imagine at the other end receiving the answer in the form of a little video production. It seems as though I have put all kinds of effort into creating the thing when, in fact, the opposite is the case.

  Pros

  Now I am using DemoCreator V2.2.0.5. <p>The new version is easy for users toimport one project to another, the project could be reused conveniently. The newly added edit button makes the switch betweem edit status and preview status become easy. More new fuctions add to the multiple slides. Another great thing is the optimized synchronization of audio and video. I like it so much.

  Everything went well until it was time to publish the file. None of the screen shots show. The video player, audio, and bubbles that say "click" show/play, but not the screen shots. I'm on Day 5 of trying to get help from someone whose English is very weak. They asked for my source files. I provided them. They said nothing was wrong with them and sent me a file to dowload. That file, like my source files, works fine. Guess what happens when I upload it? SAME PROBLEM. I told them I need a fix within 24 hours, or I need a refund. This is ridiculous.

  It can record the keystrokes from V1.5! I like the high quality of it. The created demo is really better-than-live! The best one is the price, other similar software about $200-$500, but it just need $69 with the similar function. Perfect!

  I'd tried a few other demo creation tools before but with this one I was up and running and had created my first presentation in minutes. Simple, effective and versatile.

  It works just as promised. It took me 5 minutes to figure it out and within 1 hour I had a great demo of my own to share. <p> <p>It has some nice features such as the ability to add notes and balloons and even use other images as the appearance of those objects.

  Cons

  cannot keep keystrokes, I hope the feature would be added in its later version.
